Weight Discrimination in the Work Force

I've decided to purpose a study on job discrimination related to weight. Now, what do you think of a person who was a high school salutatorian, graduated magna cum laude from college, an over-achiever, has above average test scores, and received remarkably high marks on internship evaluations? One who is always praised by employers as being pro-active, efficient, organized, dependable, courteous with customers, and always goes above and beyond what is required? This person who, part of the year, participates in some part of an exercise program? How can a person with all of these qualifications get along with NO job offers what so ever? Does something seem amiss? When you think of someone who is organized and a high-achiever, what picture comes to mind? Glasses, thin, always busy?

What do you see?

  1. Who are you describing? Not yourself, for sure!
